Bigg Boss OTT winner Divya Agarwal received severe backlash after she announced getting engaged to Mumbai-based businessman Apurva Padgaonkar. Her engagement news miffed several netizens and fans of Varun Sood as they called Divya a 'gold digger.’ Agarwal got engaged to her friend Apurva on her 30th birthday and shared photos from the proposal on social media. Soon after she shared the news, she was massively trolled for moving on after several months of her split from Varun.
Now, it seems like Divya has taken an indirect dig at trolls who criticized her. Taking to her Instagram stories, she penned a note that read, “Don’t talk to me about loyalty. For the unversed, Divya and Apurva have known each other for 7 years and in fact, they dated for three years but later drifted apart. They first met in 2015 and instantly hit off. Later, the actress found love in actor Varun Sood whom she met on their show ‘Ace Of Space.’ Both were reportedly in a serious relationship and were living together in Mumbai. However, in March this year, Agarwal left her fans shocked after she announced her split from Varun.
In an interview, Divya revealed the reason why she parted ways from Varun. She said, “I could not see my future with Varun, and hence I decided to end the relationship on a good note. It was my decision to put the news of our break–up on social media and I received a lot of flak for my decision. I used to get abused but I chose to ignore it as my inner peace is what matters.”
Meanwhile, Divya will soon get married to Apurva Padgaonkar, who runs four restaurants in Mumbai.
